The Bible doesn’t tell you who to vote for in 2020.

It doesn’t even give us an ideal political system that we should strive toward in all times and places. Instead, the Bible tells stories of individuals and communities attempting to faithfully navigate political life in particular times and places—sometimes getting it wrong, sometimes getting it right. During the eight weeks leading up to our next election, we’re going to put politics back in its place by exploring what politics looked like in places with names like Eden, Egypt, Israel, Babylon, Rome, and New Jerusalem (and hopefully end with a better sense of what politics looks like in America).

This series starts on Sunday, September 13th.
