Do you know how to wear a towel?

Most people know how to wear a towel, but many of us don't know how to wear a towel like Jesus. In John 13, at his final meal with his closest friends, Jesus did something no one saw coming. He took a towel, bent down, and began washing the feet of his friends. He took the role of a servant. Then, he says, “For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you” (John 13:15). This is what everyday life like Jesus looks like. Wearing the towel means using your power, position, possessions, or platform for the sake of others instead of yourself.

We want to be a church where it's normal to wear the towel in our church, in our community, in our homes, in our classrooms, and in our workplaces. Over the four weeks of this sermon series, we're praying that God would raise up twenty people who will commit to serving at least one year in our church or with one of our three local partners.
